Jeffrey P. Galyen

Jeff’s practice is primarily devoted to the areas of real estate, commercial transactions and business planning. Jeff spends a significant portion of his time working with clients on deferred and reverse 1031 exchanges. Jeff also represents clients in creditor bankruptcy and banking law matters.

Jeff grew up in Atkinson, Nebraska. Growing up in a sports-minded family, Jeff participated in football, basketball and track at Atkinson West Holt High School. After graduating as high school valedictorian, Jeff enrolled at Nebraska Wesleyan University, majoring in biology with a pre-medicine focus. Jeff was a member of the track team, highlighted by being the slow leg on a school record setting performance in the 4×800 meter relay at the Drake Relays.

Jeff graduated with high distinction from Nebraska Wesleyan with degrees in biology and business administration. While also accepted to medical school at the University of Nebraska and law school at the Universities of Michigan and Iowa, Jeff chose law school at the University of Nebraska. While in law school, Jeff was an executive editor of the Law Review.

After graduating with honors, Jeff joined the firm of Perry, Guthery, Haase & Gessford in Lincoln, Nebraska, where he obtained substantial experience in banking law and complex commercial transactions. In 2007, Jeff joined Krotter Hoffman PC, LLO, and opened an office in Norfolk, Nebraska, where he continues to practice today as a partner of Galyen Boettcher Baier PC, LLO. Jeff enjoys coaching and supporting his two boys in various sports with his wife, Melissa.
